  • Unable to edit template

Hi all, brand new install of 5.2.3

I am attempting to edit the template for css_additional.css

I click the << >> in style manager next to the default style.

I click on CSS Templates to expand, nothing happens. (double click same results)

So I do a search for above template, select file, click on "edit" button nothing happens. Am I missing something? I've tried both Firefox & Chrome.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

      Using SSL - https://
      vBulletin 5.2.3
      PHP Version 5.6.25
      Mysql 5.5.32

I was able to reproduce this on my Mac laptop using latest Firefox, (different machine) so I'm guessing it's something on the server itself.

        *update - fixed

Found the problem. This issue is called "blocked mixed content" Most browsers block that automatically.

Because I setup my forum using ssl,

The server was sending out some data with ssl, and some without. I had left the core url at http because it says: The location of your core directory. This directory contains the vBulletin engine and is not public. Do not update unless directed to by vBulletin Support.

After changing that url to https:// it corrected the problem. -Thank you Glenn for pointing me in the right direction!

This should be logged as a bug in JIRA.
