  • Interesting issue with tagging

I'm running vB 5.2.2 and when I post a topic, I try to always add tags. I type the tag, hit enter and it shows that it accepted the tag. Then I type another and hit enter again.

When I click "Post" the topic posts just fine, but there are no tags. Now, if I go and hit "edit", they appear where they should be in the post composition, like they're there. And then when I hit "save" then they appear. I don't have to do anything else but hit "edit" and then "save" and they then show up. Anyone else seeing this? Anyone have a fix?

    Thanks!

Interestingly, I did the same thing in this topic here and they're not showing at this point. Thoughts?

refreshed the page and they appeared. Perhaps simply a cache issue? Normal?

Sorry I'm new to this admin stuff.

        I can't reproduce this issue on 5.2.2.

I just went through and started a new topic to check, and it doesn't matter what I do. whether I refresh the page or not. The tags don't show up until I hit edit and re-save the post. Then they appear. I have included images below so that you can see the progression. They show as clickable links (see the word Budget), but they don't show until re-saved.

          Thoughts?

          Thanks!

What browser and OS is this in?

Like Glenn I can't reproduce this here, nor on my test site.

              Windows 10 OS

Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge both do it. Just had it happen again as I started another thread. Seems to be quite repeatable on my site. Not sure why though.

              Thoughts?

Wonder if it's a Windows 10 thing. I don't have a Windows 10 machine to test this on.

May be worth submitting it as a possible bug, mention that you're using Windows 10 and that you can reproduce it on this site. It can then be tested properly.
