  • Cannot ban in Admin CP

I have a new site running vB5..1.10 I also have 2 other forums running vB4.2.3 In the 4.2.3 versions I can ban a member from the Admin CP however with the 5.1.10 version I cannot ban users from Admin CP when I try I get the message:
Invalid Page URL. If this is an error and the page should exist, please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message.

I am the system administrator and have no idea so some help would be appreciated.

The link to the ban user is: forumname//banning.php?do=banuser&

I get the same message if I try to ban from User Manager Quick User Links drop-down of from Users drop-down

    Can someone please help me.

    Cheers - Neil

Add admincp to the URL: forumname/admincp/banning.php?do=banuser&

There is a known issue in AdminCP where some URLs are missing 'admincp'.

Btw, I recommend you to upgrade to the latest version 5.2.2. Based on their version support schedule, no patch will be released for versions 5.1.10 and older if a vulnerability is found in the future.

Thanks for that Glenn. Downloaded the latest version a week ago. Just waiting for the right time to put it on.

Thanks again for the help Glenn - However I tried your suggestion and it didn't work. Still get the same message.

Do you or anyone else know if v5.2.2 will fix this. I will be installing it anyway but would be nice to know beforehand.

Nothing at this time to resolve the issue. Would need a support ticket with access to the server. However, you can manually change the user's Primary Usergroup to the banned usergroup and remove any secondary usergroups to accomplish this.
