Turn off Thread View Floating Bar

how to turn the floating bar on thread view page, i want the bar to be fixed instread of floating

Sorry, there is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

There are 2 simple solutions to turn off floating bar across the site:

1. Add this in css_additional template or via Sitebuilder > Style > CSS Editor.

.scrolltofixed {
    position: static !important;
}

But the code for floating bar is still running on the background as you scroll the page which may slow down the page. Solution #2 addresses that.

2. Replace "scrolltofixed-floating" in the Replacement Variable Manager with an empty string. Go to AdminCP > Styles > Replacement Variable Manager. (Recommended)

• Click Add New Replacement Variable link for the target style/theme.
• Enter scrolltofixed-floating in the "Search for Text" field.
• Leave "Replace with Text" field empty.
• Click Save.
• Repeat steps for each active style/theme.

Being a former vB5 dev who implemented the floating bar code, I know how to hack it to turn the floating off. There should be an option to easily turn it off though to avoid such workarounds.

yes there are many things in vb5 which is not required by all... like ajax pagination and many more. they have to give options in admin pannel to turn off thing we dont want
