  • Disable and hide elements in reply box

So far my forum is running great. However users should not be allowed to post / share photos and attachments.

Therefore i need to disable certain elements:

Size:	20.4 KB
ID:	4329531
    1) Share Photos
    2) Share Link
    3) Attachments
    4) Advanced Options

What's the correct way to disable / hide those elements.

You need to go to AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager and change the following permissions for the desired usergroups.

    1. Set "Can create photo gallery" and "Can create photo" permissions to No.
    2. Set "Can create video" and "Can create link" permissions to No.
    3. Set "Can create attachment" permission to No.
    4. You only see this because you are an admin. Make sure that regular users have "Can Use HTML" permission to No (default).

      Thanks Glenn,

with your help i managed to disable most of the options.

However the 3) Attachments icon is still there and users are able to upload attachments even tho i have it disabled in the usergroup.

Is there anything else i need to disable so attachments cannot be used?

      Thanks

Make sure it's also denied in Channel Manager > Channel Permissions.

That didn't work - the upload icon and functionality was still there.

I just deleted all Attachment Types and removed the icon with additional css.

            Code:
            .js-button[data-panel="b-content-entry-panel__content--attachment"]  { display: none; }
if someone runs in the similar need to disable attachments.
