  • Cache table size issue

    Hi, after update to VB 5.1.7 the cache table is enormous, in 24 hours after clean, is 7.6Gb.

    Forum URL: www.mundorecetas.com/foro
    Cache Post Lifespan: 15
    Minutes to cache Content for Guests: 5
    Search Result Cache Lifetime: 1

    Config.php:
    $config['Cache']['class'][0] = 'vB_Cache_Memcached'; //regular cache
    $config['Cache']['class'][1] = 'vB_Cache_Memory'; //fastest cache
    $config['Cache']['class'][2] = 'vB_Cache_Db'; //largest cache and longest life.
    .........
    $config['Datastore']['class'] = 'vB_Datastore_Memcached';
    $i = 0;
    // First Server
    $i++;
    $config['Misc']['memcacheserver'][$i] = '127.0.0.1';
    $config['Misc']['memcacheport'][$i] = 11211;
    $config['Misc']['memcachepersistent'][$i] = true;
    $config['Misc']['memcacheweight'][$i] = 1;
    $config['Misc']['memcachetimeout'][$i] = 1;
    $config['Misc']['memcacheretry_interval'][$i] = 15;

    Total DB size: 19,7 GB

    Any idea?

    Disable guest caching all together, its not worth it (generally). After you do that, clear the system cache, and see how badly it grows. I'd also recommend reducing the cache post lifespan to 3-4 days instead.

          I'd suggest starting a support ticket so you can get the support team to look into it.

            Thanks, but I migrated to IPS4 forum and everything works right from the start, the DB takes up only 3.5GB . VB5 is horrible, a month of work thrown away.
