  • SSL Issues

    Hello,

I am having an issue with SSL. The problem is intermittent and does not always show up. Currently, the domain http://christforums.org is not redirecting to https://www.christforums.org

Sometimes, even http://www.christforums.org does not redirect to https://www.christforums.org

Sometimes it does. That's what has confused me and lost me, because when I try to use htaccess it causes a redirect error.

In the admin backend I have the https address filled out. I also filled out the base url in the config.php file in the core directory. The instructions or manual for Vbulletin 5 says there should be an entry in the config.php file in the root directory where the htaccess and index file are. No such entry is there.

I would appreciate help in correcting this, because it wrecks havoc on SEO.

    Thanks much in advance,
    William

Edit: I think I resolved the issue by only directing non www. in htaccess. Since the problem seemingly is intermittent I will have to wait and check. Meanwhile, if anybody has any insight into the issue - I'd appreciate it.
