Hello,
We have encountered a rather unique problem. Most people want to be seen on the Internet, by Google, etc. and seek to maximize SEO functions.
Our problem is, we want vBulletin to be invisible.
YowNow.com is a pay, members-only site. vBulletin is one of the features we provide our members. We promise privacy and security. Only our members can participate in our forums, virtual world, etc. Everything they post and do is hidden, available to other members only. During our beta testing we solved this problem by placing vBulletin inside our parent platform.
However, we have ended beta and are having our grand opening in May. We want our members to be able to access vBulletin on their phones. We also have phone apps for our parent platform, but we have concluded we cannot use these to access vBulletin. So, we need to take vBulletin out of its hidden location so we can use VBulletin phone apps. This in turn means we need a way to mask vBulletin from the Internet.
During our registration process our members have accounts automatically created in our parent platform, our virtual world, and vBulletin, so there is no need to register independently.
To summarize, we need vBulletin accessible by the vBulletin phone apps, but completely invisible and inaccessible to web searchers and bots like Google.
This is one of the only technical issues yet to resolve prior to opening.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Yowser
