    I will deal with the money issue later I need to get this website a rolling as it stands I am going to run a private vb5 site and put my vb4 site back up .. it is so much less confusion that way .. vb5 being a beta and being live right now is not the greatist thing as some of you guys tried to tell my tired old arse. lol...

    I'm not normally in the habbit of saying this, but if the webhosting company isn't delivering the services paid for, over several days, I'd advise asking for a refund, if you can't get a refund, I suspect you could get a charge back with your credit card company. But it should only be used as a last resort. I'd say they should at least refund you for the time left.

    yep it is we are considering renting a virtural server, because we are still waiting for them to set us up an new hosting plan that normally takes 15 min.. ..

    If your host is struggling for 12 hours to get a straightforward MySQL setup in place then it might be time to consider a new host.

    Not sure mark the host worked on it for 12 hours straight and could not get the sql data base to be seen by cpanel however phpmyadmin could see the data base but I have no way of deleting the old one at this point I am stuck waiting for them to get me a new hosting server set up .. .

    It sounds like you don't have the CREATE permission in MySQL.

    MySQL error 1005 means you don't have CREATE permission to create tables into MySQL.

    I did try that mark and came up short handed they are going to move me to a different server because the data base is not connecting thru the cpanel or is what i am being told. this is getting tiresome to be honest.

    If you're trying a clean install, try deleting the database you have created and setting up another one 9make sure you change config.php to match).
    Does the same problem occur?
