The manual for the current tool can be found here:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex

It's being completely rewritten into a different method for vB5.

Oh ok, I'll just wait. Thanks, is the import tool free and easy?

There isn't an import tool for vB5 as yet. You could install vB4.2 then use the Impex tool from the members area to import to that. Once you've imported, upgrade the 4.2. installation to vB5.

  • How Can I Transfer Old Posts From SMF Database to Connect 5?

Hi, I am very "dense" when it comes to coding... So, if someone could help me out and tell me how to do this, it would be great. Long story short... I had a SMF (Simple Machines Forum) with a lot of posts. I don't really care about transferring the members, they were inactive. How do I transfer all that content? Keep in mind, it's not a new setup anymore I have already set up VBulletin and the new database... It has several new posts and categories, etc.

Also, my site is now www.jesusay.com/vb5/ it used to be on SMF www.jesusay.com/index.php so now all of my old posts in Google go to a 404 error page. What can I do about this, short of killing myself and going through each link one by one and redirecting?
