  • CMS no more?

    Hi,

I can't find any info or indication that the CMS part of VB exists any more, was it written off as a bad idea? The VB5 demo doesn't appear to have it, I was going to upgrade one of my old forums and give it to my brother to run, and part of it was installing the VB CMS as well.

    What's the score?

As per many threads, the CMS will be released in a later version of vB5 after receiving a full rewrite.
    Vote for:

    - *Admin Settable Paid Subscription Reminder Timeframe*
    -
*PM - Add ability to reply to originator only*
    - Add Admin ability to auto-subscribe users to specific channel(s)
    - "Quick Route" Interface...

If there's so many threads, doesn't that tell you that maybe you should put some information on your web site instead of writing condescending replies? Considering the price of upgrading, it might be better to look for alternatives to VB anyway. Frankly, I think your companies attitude sucks.

Sorry you feel that way, the feature set is clearly stated on the website, and also announcements were made here in the forum outlining what features would not be in 5.0. Not many companies will go out of their way to point out what ISN'T in their product!
