  • Few questions for 5.12

Finding my around things, but I have a few questions....

    1. Is there a way to edit out some functions in the WSIWIG editor? As I see it now, there are some functions (like <php>) which I do not want to allow users access to.
    2. Is there an easier way to add sidebar widgets to all pages at one time as I want to use them on all pages.
    3. Lastly (for now), how do I edit the users' main blog template, so people can have a blog, but can't edit their sidebar and must just use what is provided.

Think that is all for now, thanks for the help in advance.

    1. No, this can't be done. However the php button doesn't allow them to execute php code, it just allows them to post it in the forum.
    2. No, they have to be added per page.
    3. A blog user has control over his blog settings, that's the way the blogs are designed to work. Part of that is the ability to organise the sidebar..

Thank you Mark, is there any way to apply ads on their pages? Would I create a custom template?

You can add an advertising module using site builder.

Do I just do this to one blog and it would stay for all user blogs?

            Yes, that's correct.

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
