Are you an adminstrator or moderator? Go to Channel Management -> Show All Moderators and adjust your permissions not to get email notifications.
If you have emails set to yes here, you're supposed to get emails.

Emails even with the setting turned to Off

After our upgrade to 5.1.2 from 5.1.0 we have noticed the email`s suddenly are going insane!!!! Anytime someone posts in a forum we get an email notification, I personally have mine set to " Off, through the message notification center only"
