  • How do you get rid of the vBulletin developers and contributors text from the moderator control panel?

If you go to your out-of-the-box installation of vBulletin 5 at bottom right you have a link that says "mod" taking you to the moderator control panel.

(From there if I use the quick user finder that does not appear to work yet. Post on that here http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...appear-to-work )

The moderator control panel looks like it might be quite useful now, perhaps just because it's more accessible than in vB4, except that there's lots of superfluous stuff on the page. I'm guessing that the standard phrases like "welcome to the vBulletin moderator control panel" are easy enough to change just by searching in phrases.

All that text underneath "vBulletin developers and contributors"? is pointless and it's not doing anything to make life easy for the moderators, just cluttering up the page. How do you get rid of it? It must be sat in a template somewhere.

The moderator CP is deprecated as functionality is moved to the front end.

We don't explicitly allow that text to be removed.

What do you mean by that? Are you saying there's no point bothering about the "mod" link because it's progressively being replaced?

In the future, the modcp will cease to exist. The only functionality within it that cannot be replicated in the front-end is an IP Search.
