Conversation! Error loading post science upgrade to 5.1.2

I get an error when I submit a post reply that says

Conversation! Error loading post

If you hit okay it removes the error box and it looks like your reply has not been posted, although if you reload the page your reply shows up.

When you create a topic I do not get the error only when you reply to a topic.

Create a new style with no parent:

• Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
• Parent Style: No Parent Style
• Title: Default vBulletin
• Allow User Selection: Yes
• Save

Set this as your site default and then Clear System Cache. Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

Are you getting anything logged in your error_logs (if you don't know where they are, ask your host)?

I did what you recommended, I still had the same error. I'll check my error logs. Do you have any other thoughts?

nothing in the error logs that would indicate a problem

You made sure to switch to the default un-customized style right?

Do you have your plugin system disabled? What version of PHP and MySQL are on your site? Do you know how to use your webtools to see if there is some error on the page?

Turned out to be a plugin, that wasn't quite fully uninstalled.
