You would need to have a database backup from before you upgraded to vB5 in order to go back to vB4.

Please don't PM or VM me for support - I only help out in the threads.

And you would lose any new posts and members created since you upgraded.

We have the old database and are ok with losing posts. Just not sure exactly what the steps are to go back to vb4.

Restore the database backup to its own new clean and empty database. Upload the vB4 files, and edit the configuration to use the new backup you restored.

If a downgrade is absolutely necessary for you, maybe you can import your vB5 to a different forum software and then import that installation back to vB4 again?

Best of luck. Hopefully the problems will be solved.

We put vb4 back, but now nothing is working... All we see is a blank, white screen.
