  • Licensing question

My license includes both vB4 and vB5. I already run a private vB4 site for my family only; it is completely secured from the public. There are only 18 family members using the site.
I don't want to upgrade that site to vB5 because most of my family are not all that Web literate, and they wouldn't use or need all the features that vB5 offers. It would be a waste of good forum software, lol.

So my question is, would it go against the license agreement to run a publicly accessible forum with vB5 while keeping the vB4 site private? Does version number make any difference?

Your license allows one public forum and a private development/test forum. As long as you stay within those guidelines, you can run two copies of the software.
