  • User Settings Link

After upgrading, I noticed when a member tries to change their profile settings it gives
~~Invalid Page URL. If this is an error and the page should exist, please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message.
I haven't changed the htaccess from the original. I noticed the URL it's trying to send users to is "/forums/settings/". On here it's supposed to be "/settings/profile".

I'm not sure why it's not working out of the box. With the other issues I'm having, I wonder if there is something that isn't set up correctly.

It's weird that most of my links work, but the profile isn't.

    Thanks in advance!

Check the Base URL in the /config,php file is correct. Make sure that is the ONLY URL you edited in the front end config.php file, everything else can be default. Make sure the Core URL is set correctly in Admin CP -> Settings -> Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details. It always ends in /core and never ends in a /.

By the way, are you able to get to the Admin CP via the correct URL? (The correct URL never has /core/ in it)

I suspected you might have this issue, sure enough it was the very next post-

      http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forum...-after-install

Looking at your license I can see where your forum is installed. I have changed your domain to domain.com in case you did not want to publish the forum URL yet

Your Base URL in config.php should be:
      Code:
      http://www.domain.com/forums
Your Core URL in Admin CP should be
      Code:
      http://www.domain.com/forums/core

        Joe,

        Thanks for the reply.

I checked my /config.php and I only have edited the BASE URL. Nothing else.

In the admincp, it is set to "/domain.com/forums/core"

I did fix my admincp link issue by putting my forums from the root to a "forums" folder.

The weird thing about the setting link, everything else seems to be ok. Well, maybe this is half my other issues, but I'm saying "My Profile" link is working, not my "User Settings" link in the same drop down.

I'm having a lot of issues with this install, and I hoping it's one common issue. I have another thread regarding saving my Navigational Bar.

I checked my URLs in the config.php, /config.php, and my admincp settings.

I can post them if that helps. I even checked to make sure I'm not missing a hyphen in the config files. I checked the "/"s as well.

If it doesn't it needs the http: and the www in the URL. (in your case)

Same issue here so tagging on to this thread. If you want a new one, let me know. I thought it was a bug with 5.0.2 so today I upgraded to 5.0.4 and obviously the problem persists. I have followed the above steps verifying all of my URLs. When clicking on my user and then User settings I get "Invalid Page URL. If this is an error and the page should exist, please contact the system administrator and tell them how you got this message." I can navigate to my profile and then click Edit Settings and in both instances it does not work. I get taken to /settings. As reported, manually changing the URL to /settings/profile allows me to view my edit profile screen but I haven't tried to edit.

What do you have in your URL settings in the Admin CP?

My site is installed at the root. From /admincp
                    Core URL:
                    http://www.{DOMAIN}.com/core

                    Frontend URL
                    http://www.{DOMAIN}.com

                    Frontend Login URL
                    http://www.{DOMAIN}.com

                    From config.php
                    $config['baseurl'] = 'http://www.{DOMAIN}.com';

all with the domain name instead of {DOMAIN} of course.

Possibly related, I temporarily turned on display of php errors and the following popped up. Not sure if it's related.

Notice: Undefined index: tab in /home3/dfgaming/public_html/core/vb5/route/settings.php on line 55

Well, have exact same problem, how does it fix itself? I can't edit any user in the User Manager because of this error.
