  • $config['Cache']['class'][x]

From the /core/includes config file. What are these classes for exactly? I have APC installed... should I just set all 3 to APC?

    $config['Cache']['class'][0] = 'vB_Cache_Db'; //regular cache
    $config['Cache']['class'][1] = 'vB_Cache_Memory'; //fastest cache
    $config['Cache']['class'][2] = 'vB_Cache_Db'; //largest cache and longest life.

    No, that'd be bad.

Class 1 should pretty much always be memory.

Class 0 can be apc if you have enough memory to spare.
Class 2 needs to have a ton of storage available, at least 500+mb. Database is normally best. high performance filesystem would also be okay.

Hi Zachery , can class 0 and 2 both use memcached?

Zachery is no longer with the company. You can use Memcached for classes 0 and 2. MemcacheD is recommended over APCu. APC is no longer updated or supported.

Due to the age of this topic, please open a new one if you continue to have issues with caching.
