  • prevent public access?

Is there a way to prevent public access to my entire VB5 connect forum? Will an SSL cert. be the answer? If not, how else can I 'hide it from the public'.

    Thanks,
    ozmo

How about using .htaccess password in your forum folder and then just give the password to your members?

you can use permissions to get practically all of it hidden...my unlogged page has no graphics, forums, navbar links or anything

Thanks durruti. I am using the .htaccess option at the moment but was hoping for an alternative as users are complaining about having to login twice.

Ok cool. I guess I'll have to start playing with permissions on groups etc. Thanks for the advice

An SSL Cert is definitely NOT going to help with this.

The group permission configs did the trick

              Thanks again IggyP.
