  • HTACCESS File Not Working

    Hello,

I have created a new home page, URL is /sv8/home. I followed the instructions for creating the page and tried to edit the .htaccess file but when I did it kept redirecting to the site's main folder (www.svcommand.com). This is what I am using:

    RewriteEngine on
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^svcommand\.com$
    RewriteRule (.*) http://www.svcommand.com/$1 [R=301,L]
    RewriteRule ^$ sv8/home [L]

My goal is to have it when someone goes to svcommand.com/sv8 it redirects to /sv8/home.

Is there a specific place I should be putting the code above or am I just doing it wrong?

It should be the first redirect. At the top of the redirects we have in the file. Otherwise, we will have already redirected them to index.php
