  • adsense 403 forbidden on forum, but works on main site?

    I tried taking this code from google adsense and putting it into the dialog box as shown here on a vbulletin forum:

    <script async src="//"></script>
    <!-- vbulletin test -->
    <ins class="adsbygoogle"
    (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

    When I try to add this, I get a 403 forbidden error. If I replace that code with something very basic, like a simple <img src="adhere.jpg"> line, it works just fine.

    I have checked the following

    1) No adblock plugin is in use on my browser.
    2) I have checked in IE, Firefox, and Chrome.
    3) I have verified my site as pictured.
    4) I have adsense set up to not require the site to be verified, as pictured.
    5) I have checked that adsbot is able to crawl my site, as pictured.
    6) I have confirmed that the same code can provide an ad to my homepage, of on this same domain/site/server without any error.

    I'm stumped. Funny enough, if I put the code on the header of my homepage,, I see an ad(I do not want ads here, I am just using this to test). However, if I put an ad on using vbulletin as pictured below, it gives me a 403.

    What else can I do to pinpoint the problem?

    Thank you!

    Is your main site dynamic or do you hand code each page?

    This is an error from your server and hosting provider. Most likely they are preventing the posting of code via API calls. You would have to contact them. They can tell you the specific reason after reviewing the access logs for your site.
