    As you can see in JIRA, work on the CMS has started. It will most likely be released with vB 5.1.0, but nobody can tell you the exact date of the release, because no one knows. Maybe it is good news for you, that it probably won't take another year from now on.
    I'll bet CMS release this year but it will not be usable this year. It might be another year to become usable (reduce the amount or first release bugs).

    (Using vB4 track record and vB5 so far).

    I currently run version 4, but purchased a license to 5 when it was released. I don't use it because of the lack of CMS. Until there's a CMS, I can't see a compelling case for going through the hassle of upgrading when 4 is stable and doing all we need, including CMS. Disappointing, I must say, that the CMS is taking so long, so long I begin to wonder if its vaporware.

    As you can see in JIRA active work has started on the CMS. There is still no release date available, but it is hardly unlikely that it will take another year from now.
