How is money for vB5 a joke? I mean, it's not funny at all and vBulletin 4 cost money too..

vB does list this as Beta 10 (for today - as we've been told by one of the beta testers that daily builds should be coming) it's still a beta and is not meant to be used in a production environment. It's to be used to judge for yourself if you would want to upgrade or pre purchase the product.

Now for a Beta... it's really bad. I would call this a pre Alpha built at best. It's not something I would be showing potential new customers or even alpha testers.

What has the whole vB dev team been doing?

Loco, there seems to be no features. Half the stuff we are used to using is completely gone. Even the rich text editor only seems to have half the features of vb 3.8.. I cannot tell my clients to consider this product when the past versions had a much larger and richer feature set. I will be a part of the decision making process on what to do with many large forums in the future. This is not even a starter in the conversation. It is like upgrading from Word to Notepad if you get my meaning.

I am really shocked myself. I thought the initial 4.x was bad, but it just got worse. I'll not upgrade after my pre-order experience.
