Going from 5.7.0 you would need to run the full upgrade.

The security psych is only for sites already running 5.7.5.

You cannot use the security patch to move between full versions.

How did you fix this? Getting same error after I upgraded to 5.7.5 patch 1

syntax error, unexpected end of file, expecting function (T_FUNCTION) or const (T_CONST)

What version are you currently running?

We would need to see the complete error including the file and line number that the error occurs on. Only with the complete error and stack trace if available, can we figure out what is going on here. The complete error should be logged in your PHP error log. This file is specified in your php.ini and its location can be seen by using View PHP Info in your AdminCP under Maintenance.

How have you upgraded? If you've just installed the security patch, that won't work - the simple patch is for 5.7.5 (and 6.0.0) only. It will break any earlier versions.

If you are on 5.7.3, you will need to download the FULL 5.7.5 PL1 package, upload all the files, and run the upgrade script.

This doesn't help us solve you problem. We need to see the complete error.

Though, to start with, you need to make sure your server is using PHP 8.0 or higher. Proper syntax in PHP 8 will trigger syntax errors in PHP 7.4 or lower.
