That's a generic error that usually hides a Database Error. If you enable Debug mode on your site then refresh the page, what is the error that's then shown?

Once you've copied the error, disable Debug Mode.

Can I get someone to help me with this issue please so I can log in my site from the front? I can log in from the control panel.

But even from the control panel when I try to click the home, I will get this message.
