Posting New Topics

I have a forum with 190+ users/members and they are saying they don't see the blue button + New Topic on the only channel visible

The permission Can Post Topics is turned on/yes for both member and user permissions

Is there a permission off somewhere else to cause this?

You have all the Create Permissions set to No. Except for "Create Private Message" for some reason. That permission isn't relevant in Forums.

In order for a user to post within a Forum, they must be able to create at least one content type. Text would be the most likely one.

I have confirmation the + New Topic button is visible. For clarity what is the difference between Channel Member and Registered User?

Channel Members are people who join Blogs or Groups. They have absolutely nothing to do with forums. This applies to all three usergroups with the word Channel in their name. Users cannot Own or become members of individual forums. Moderators are handled differently as well.

For registered users I have changed permissions accordingly. Will be right back to either confirm problem fixed, or there has to be something else going on
