  • Problem to update favicon

I'm trying to update the favicon through CP Admin and it's not working.
I already uploaded the favicon image to my "vCloud file manager=Manage files" and I have the file as "core/css/0/0/6/1/4/7//images/favicon-16x16.png".
I updated in "Styles=Replacement Variable Manager" and " [Add New Replacement Variable] but it doesn't work. Yes, I also tried the same way by copying the whole image url and adding in the same place and it doesn't work. What is wrong in this update?
Could anyone help me with this? Thanks.โ€‹

Adding a replacement variable is not the appropriate way to do this.

    1. You want to go to Styles โ†’ Style Manager.
    2. On the row for your default style, you need to select "Style Variable Editor" from the Choose Actionโ€ฆ drop down.
    3. Within the style editor, type in favicon in search box.
    4. Enter the path provided by the vBCloud File Manager into the search box.
    5. Save the style variable.
    6. Clear your browser's cache.
    7. The favicon should update.
    8. Repeat the above steps for every style you make available to your users.

Scratch all that. I forgot we sort of simplified this in vBulletin 5.7.3.

In order to upload a new Favicon on vBulletin:
    1. Go to your homepage.
    2. If necessary, turn on Site Builder by clicking "Edit Site" to the right of your username.
    3. Click on Header in the Site Builder Menu.
    4. In the Header tools, click on the Edit button in the top left for the Favicon.
    5. Upload your favorite Favicon in the form.
    6. Select what styles it should apply to.
    7. Submit the form.
    8. Close the Header tools.
I say simplified because editing the style variable requires you repeat it on every style. The new method allows you to apply it to every style by automatically changing the style variable for you.
