  • problem with the sitemap

    Hello all,
I have a problem with the sitemap that google does not want to read.

I have entered the path https://www.php-resource.de/forum/co...arter_1.xml.gz. But still google can't find or read the XML file.

What am I doing wrong? does anyone also have the problem?

    Thanks
    Bernie

You're not supposed to provide that path to Google with vBulletin 5.X. The link should end with /core/xmlsitemap.php.

In the AdminCP, you can go to XML SiteMap → Rebuild Sitemap, and the system will provide the exact link you should provide to Google built for your specific site.

      In:

AdminCP > Settings > Options > XML Sitemap > Rebuild Sitemap

...right click the 'this URL' link and copy it. Enter this in Google Sitemap tools - does it read this OK?

If I copy the link in your first post and paste it into my browser, it downloads. Same occurs for the other files in your image marked as "Missing" by Google. In fact all files listed in the vbulletin_sitemap_index.xml file on your site will download. This means the files are there.

I do not know why Google is saying otherwise. Maybe your server has some sort of attack prevention software like mod_security and it is flagging Google as an attack.
