View new activity since last visit

All my users have migrated from another site running v3.x ... I've been getting this complaint a lot:

When surfing the board to see activity since my last visit I have been clicking on "New Topics", That always seems to get me 4 pages at 40 threads per page. Today that seems to go back about 4 hours, thats great that the board is getting all of that activity but I haven't been on for 30 hours How do I search to get all new content since my last visit?

Any suggestions?

The default search result return in vBulletin 5 is 500 topics/posts depending on the view used. This should be 12.5 pages at 40 topics per page. You should check how many search results are being returned and possibly increase the value. Older versions of the software may have had lower numbers or the value was edited sometime in the past. Increasing the value too high may have a negative impact on the performance of your site.

Are the results on that link custom to that users last visit?

Based on the lastactivity field in their user record across all devices. So if they visit on their phone then go to a PC five hours later the last activity is five hours ago. Not the last time they visited on their PC. At least on a default installation using the URL we provide, it is. URLs can be edited though so I can't say if you're link does or not.
