Posting emails seem to have stopped effective April 19th?

Hi, I have a very small forum that many/most of the users receive emails to notify when posts occur on any threads/channels. It appears that on or around April 19th, these emails stopped and I don't believe I made any changes to the Admin site or anything that would have changed the settings.

I have gone to the Admin site and tried to confirm that all the settings are still correct (Emails enabled, not queued,etc) and still no luck finding something that would indicate this got turned off.

Is there anyone that might be able to help me. I'm not a very sophisticated administrator and our site/forum is hosted by vBulletin.

I read the "read this first" and have tried to answer the questions below.

I'm on:
Version 5.6.1 Patch level 1
PHP 7.2.30
MySQL 5.7.29-log
I don't have any hooks or addons
I think I'm using the default style and english language
There is no error message per se, its just that the emails have stopped.
I'm using Chrome current version and my others users who also have said the emails aren't occurring are using a mixture of browsers.
I did clear the browser cache - problem persists
I don't know how to reproduce the issue in steps
I'm not familiar enough with debug to offer solutions

Have you tried the email diagnostic tool in admincp?

I have not. I will search for it and try to utilize it now. Thank you.

EDIT: I have searched the AdminCP for anything relating to an "Email Diagnostic" tool. and I'm not finding it. Could it be under a different label/name?

It should be located under Maintenance -> Diagnostics. On Cloud, it should actually be the only Diagnostic available.

Thank you Wayne. I found it.

I tried two separate emails, with different domains (AOL & Gmail) and neither of them worked, however the results stated that there were no errors encountered. I polled a couple of my users and one (gmail) had the same experience I did which is the emails stopped cold around May 19th. Another user (GCI.net domain) says they are working sporadically and yet another with a personalized domain (robscarwash.com) seems to be working just fine and hasn't changed.

Is there other avenues to trace? Seems super odd that it worked one day then just stopped (for some).

I've looked at your site and I don't see any reasons why email wouldn't be sent. I will have to pass this off to the Cloud Development team so they can try to trace the issue.

Thank you for the time and attention. I'll keep trying to figure it out and will report back if I somehow miraculously figure out how to get it going again or if I get any better feedback from the users. Strange.

Please check, the issue should be resolved.

The issue is because you changed the Webmaster email to an @aol.com email address. AOL will specifically kill any email sent from your site since it didn't originate from their mail servers. The email address has been updated to a no-reply email address that will work.

Wayne, whatever they did - it worked. I've begun to get the forum emails now and other users are reporting the same. Thank you very much for the help and please send along my thanks to any others that contributed. We can consider this closed (for now?)

EDIT: Just for clarifications sake - I don't think that change was made until AFTER we stopped getting emails. I was grasping for straws on how I could make it work. Nonetheless, its good to know that has an impact and will leave it as-is in hopes it will continue. Thanks again.
