max_input_vars recommended setting for vb5

Default is 1000 but I noticed that my Shoutbox recommends
max_input_vars 10000
for both the shoutbox itself and vbulletin.

Is there any downside to increasing this to 10000 in cpanel?

We don't have a specific value that we recommend. For most purposes, 1000 variables should work for vBulletin. If you have a lot of channels, you might have problems with this in the Channel Manager, Usergroup Manager, and User Managers.

As for a downside, you'll have to talk to your hosting provider since this is server configuration and not related to vBulletin Support.
