Like I said, I don't know why it isn't linking to the home page and won't be able to do so without looking at the database directly.
Change {2} to whatever URL you want it to link to.

Correction, I thought it was /forum because I thought the page it directed to looked just like it.
here - that goes to /homepage rather than the main url listed in options for url settings. It won't show /homepage in the url in the browser, but nevertheless, that is the page vb has set as the homepage.
It will not go to to the homepage that you indicate that you want to be the homepage in site settings.
I verified with http://energyscienceforum.com - that is my other forum where I did not change the homepage in site builder yet. When you go to the homepage and edit page in site builder, then save it, you can see that it is /homepage, which is the page used by vb as the homepage.
If that is the case, shouldn't here still direct to whatever you indicate as the homepage in site builder? It does not so that is an issue.Leave a comment:

Then something is wrong here. At no point in the history of vBulletin 5 has the home page been /forum. There is a channel named /forum.
What is wrong I don't know because I don't have access to your database. It is the only thing that will tell us what is wrong. If you had a support contract, I would ask for a support ticket to resolve the issue. Guessing I would have to say that for some reason and somehow, you created a 301 redirect from /homepage2 to /forum.Leave a comment:

What you're explaining does not appear to be how it actually works.
By default, the homepage is http://energeticforum.com/forum - but site builder or whatever system automatically redirects that to just http://energeticforum.com (without the /forum). I do NOT have /forum in url settings in options. But the forum page is indeed what vb uses as the homepage.
In site builder, you can create a new page, organize it how you want. Then in site builder when you save the page, it has a checkbox to select if you want that particular page to become the homepage.
So I have http://energeticforum.com/homepage2 as the new page I made and indicated that it is to be the hompage. So when you go to http://energeticforum.com, it automatically pulls up /homepage2 as the homepage without showing /homepage2 in the url.
So in the moderate user email: here
The 2 is obviously indicating the original system default homepage of /forums rather than what is in the URL option settings.
Again, this: here does NOT reference options in settings url setup and if it does, it is not correctly going to the homepage.
In settings:
Vbulletin URL: http://www.energeticforum.com
Login URL: http://www.energeticforum.com
Core URL: http://www.energeticforum.com/core
2 = http://www.energeticforum.com/forum, which was the original page used as the hompage.
I know that has to be the case because that moderate email text: "You will be notified by email when this happens. To go to the home page, click here."
That link to go to the homepage goes to /forum and not http://energeticforum.com
So based on what you are telling me is supposed to happen compared to what actually does happen means it is a glitch. Yes?Leave a comment:

It should send them to whatever value you have in the Forum URL option under Settings -> Options -> Site Name / URL / Contact Details. That URL should not have any page names in it.
The homepage should always be / or http://energeticforum.com in your case. How did you change the Home Page?Leave a comment:

If I use site builder to change what the homepage is, that message link no longer works and it sends them to the old original homepage.
I'm guessing I can put the actual homepage domain url bewteen the quotes like "http://energeticforum.com" - would that work?
Or, how do I define what 2 in the brackets is or how can I assign a url to a different number so that the number can be changed to go to the proper url?
Thanks.Tags: None
