That doesn't answer my question... This is why your issue is drawn out. You don't answer the questions that are asked.

If you just change your database tables and fields to utf8mb without regard to the contents, then you will destroy your database. The reason being is that before utf8mb4, a UTF-8 character can be 1-4 bytes in length. We have no way of knowing where one character starts or ends in the data stream. With the previous MySQL character set, we would be told which character was which.

After utf8mb4, each character takes 4 bytes, always. If the characters weren't explictly changed using the scripts we provide, then we don't know what the data is to display it correctly.

A conversion to UTF8MB4 should never be done on a vBulletin 3 or vBulletin 4 database. They have no understanding of UTF-8 and don't even store characters in that format.

Actually, your forum software works fine. What is broken is old text that doesn't appear to have been properly converted to UTF-8. How did you change your tables to utf8mb4? Did you use our provided scripts? This isn't something we normally do on the server.

What happens with new created content in your language?

We have many customers. We'll get to your ticket as soon as possible. If the issues were the result of a paid upgrade, you should have followed up in that pre-existing ticket.

You will need to open a support ticket so we can review the server and the vBulletin configuration. Obviously something is misconfigured somewhere.

I am guessing it is an unmanaged server so you don't actually get support with your money. Do you know how to configure your operating system of choice? If changes are needed for the server, you'll need to make them.

You'll need to be more specific. The question is too vague and impossible to answer. Show where?

You will need to turn on the innodb_large_prefix setting. Newer versions of MySQL have deprecated this value so it is enabled at all times. You can find more information here:

If you don't have permission to edit your MySQL settings, you will need to discuss this with your hosting provider.
