I'm currently using version 4, the latest. But I would like to upgrade to 5 (also the latest) as I have it. But the upgrading process is slightly confusing to me. Is there anyone who could break the process down step by step to help out?

The upgrade process is almost exactly the same as upgrading vBulletin 4.x.- Turn off your vBulletin 4 forums.
- Create a database backup
- Upload the vBulletin 5 files to a new directory on your server.
- Rename /config.php.bkp to config.php
- Rename /core/includes/config.php.new to /core/includes/config.php
- Edit your database information (the file looks just like the vB4 config.php file).
- Run /core/install/upgrade.php
