    [Bug / Issue] Problems with answers - "Answers Empty"

    Hello,

    I just upgrade my forum from vb4 to vb5.

    Since 3 days I have this problem: if someone try to write an answer or send a private message this message appear: "answer empty" (Risposta vuota).

    If you refresh the page, the answer appears in the thread, but that message confuses my users!
    Thousend of people visit my forum everyday and this situation is really irritating.

    vbulletin assistance did not give me a solution yet...
    I hope someone can help....

    Hello

    Go to AdminCP > Settings > Options > Email Options

    Is "SMTP Email" set to yes, or to no?

        This is, for the record, the "Empty Response" error, which we have seen on a number of sites. It can be tricky to pin down.

        The general symptoms are that the error appears, but the post does actually submit.,

        Does this happen on every single post for every single user, or is it intermittent?

          It happens on every single post for every single user.

          The forum has been updated on 8th of june and in first 3 days we had not that problem....

            We will probably need a support ticket to troubleshoot this properly.
            Please raise one here:


            We will need full admincp access in English, and an ftp account.

              I opened a ticket 2 days ago... Ticketid: 1603082 but no one answered me....

              Can you see it?

              I will send you information on ftp account, but the only problem is that the admincp is in italian.
              For me it is not a problem to change it in english (the imporant is that the forum remains in italian).

                  Mark I can't understand..... why are You ignoring that ticket?
                  the staff is answering to the other tickets, although I told them that the error "empty answer" is really urgent! Can You imagine thousand of users everyday that can't send messages?

                  I don't want to seem presumptuous, but did You See how big is my forum?

                  I know that the issue is hard to solve, but I expected at least that someone tell me "don't worry We are working on it".
                  Since 4 days i can't understand If someone is working on my tickets.

                  What do I have to say to my users that are asking me When the problem Will be solved?

                  I hope that someone can let me know as soon as possible.
