Server Connection timed out...with FTP

Hello,

I am trying to reinstall vbulletin by using Transmit FTP program. It used to be okay with 5.3.0 but this time server connection was very slow and often disconnected and I can't even access to FTP and it kept showing this message as below.

Could not connect the server.
Connection timed out or server hung up. The server you are connecting to may be configured to limit the number of connections you are allowed to make.

I'm using godaddy deluxe Linux hosting.

Would you please advise me what I should set up or I missed some settings with godaddy or FTP program? I also tried Filezilla but it was way slower than it was used to be and often disconnected too.

This is something to take up with your host. The vBulletin software cannot in itself cause ftp timeouts.

In re GoDaddy hosting: In PHP Options you can change the settings by clicking on them.

From your cPanel or Plesk Panel, click on PHP and then click on PHP Options in the upper right hand corner.

I recommend you reset these values to default once installation is complete by clicking on each value and choosing reset from the popup menu.

Actually, I recommend you not use GoDaddy to host vBulletin 5 but that is another matter entirely.
