Quote function

When people quote a post on my forum, there is no separation between the quoted post and text that the person types in. There is a "view post" icon but that's it. The quoted post looks just like what the poster just typed. The strange thing is it shows distinctly when you use the "preview post" function but not once it's posted. Any thoughts on fixing this? Going to try and attach a screen shot of what I am referring too.

You're using a custom styled theme. The default style has gray background for the quoted text.

Thanks, so is there any way around that with a custom styled them or do we have to go back to the defaulted style?

There is a stylevar that usually controls this. I think it is bbcode_quote_background
