I am having a issue with installing my vb5 never had a problem before I shut down a old site and I am building a new one but the path to the core/install is bad some how does anyone do install help anymore ?

What do you mean by "the path is bad?" What is the specific error message you are receiving? -
Ok it let me get to the install but now its giving me this error message
Due to the following errors, the install/upgrade can not continue:
path to forums http://bikersboobsfriends.com/core/i...l.php?do=login- Database connection failed due to unexpected error:
- (1044) Access denied for user 'whiskey_bikes'@'localhost' to database 'forum'
Please ensure that the database and server is correctly configured and try again

That usually indicates you have either the database name, username, or password incorrect in the config.php file.
Your host can help you with those if you have problems.Comment

they are swamped and said they did have time to mess with this.. this is why I am seeking help here I will look at the config file and if necessary pm you with a copy of it I also can not tell which directory its running the install inComment

I found the problem it is installing you were right it was in the cofig file the database name was typo errrorComment

new issue is after install I told it to go to the admincp and it went to a ftp type directoryComment

I also get a blank page when I go to the url bikersboobsfriends.com and its not allowing me to use www

Something is in the wrong location on the server. If I append the URL to http://bikersboobsfriends.com/index.php I get to the index page but it is not detecting the CSS.Comment

Have you renamed the file htaccess.txt to .htaccess ?MARK.B

You still haven't done what Mark has mentioned.
In your File Manager within cPanel/Plesk, find the htaccess.txt file and rename it to .htaccess (note the . before the h IS supposed to be there and the file won't work without that...)Comment

yes we did try to rename this file numurous times and it would give a weird error code that the file all ready exist as shownComment
