If you create a post in English in a forum with an English name, do you have the same problem?

A big part of the problem is that we don't officially support Arabic in vBulletin 5. We're working towards it but there is work to be done. By doing an upgrade, it could have introduced problems with things that were worked around in vBulletin 4 but don't have solutions in vBulletin 5.

As an example, vBulletin 4 has the ability to strip UTF-8 out of the URL. vBulletin 5 does not. If your database is not using UTF-8 and your forum character set is not UTF-8 and the fonts used are not UTF-8, then there are going to be problems.

Does this only happen when logged in? Have you tried enabling Debug Mode so that you get the actual error?
