Trying to get set up, couple of issues

1. The forum will have two access levels. The base will use the default user group. I'm attempting to then have a secondary user group for "certified professionals" that grants additional access to two other forums. The issue is, I have gone over the visibility and options but can't get the "join request" option to join to show in the UserCp. I can manually add them via admin panel, but can't get the option to show to new users. The 4 "usergroup options" for the default user are ticked yes, yes, yes and no. In the custom usergroup secondary the Public group settings are yes and yes.

I am on 5.2.3

2. I want to move the header search to....somewhere else. I've searched these forums and located some code which is said should be added to the additional.css tempate under CSS templates. I've located the template, but it is not editable and says is inherited content. It's the only one in the group that is colored and not editable. Please help...want full width banner/header.

2. Are you on vBCloud? vBCloud has no access to templates. You can add custom css in Sitebuilder > Style > CSS Editor

Still need a solution for #1. For the life of me, I can't get an option for standard users to do a join request to a publicly joinable group. I also noticed, I can't successfully get the created group to populate a group leader name. It accepts my adding it, but then won't show the person as a leader. The user does have mod capability on that channel though. Feel out of options here...I've scoured.
