How apply fix Patch

I downloaded fix patch with have this extension VBV-16318.patch for fix BUGBULLETIN 5.2.3 using php 7....i dont know how to apply the patch

Back up your database and files.
Upload the patch to forums directory
Login via terminal SSH to server
cd to your forums directory.
Run this: patch -p0 -i VBV-16318.patch
