Visitor messages showing up in search

I'm having a problem with visitor messages showing up in the results of the search module.

I've created a page for "Recent Posts" using the search module which can be seen at http://www.sawdustzone.org/recentpost For some reason, visitor messages are showing in the results with no title and when a user clicks on it, they go to the visitor message screen, but the message itself isn't shown unless they are one of the users involved in the message.

How can I eliminate these from showing in the search results? The special channel is not selected and using the advanced search I've tried adding "vBForum_VisitorMessage" and type 11 to the excluded types with no luck so far.

VB 5.2.2 patch 1

That's a known issue even to the latest version 5.2.3 as far as I remember.

You are correct that it is still happening in 5.2.3 which I installed on our test site late last night. Are there any known work arounds for it? I've grown weary of the emails from members on this issue.

I applied this search string to your site and the visitor messages didn't show in the results. This is setup for a seven day search.

The exclusion of PrivateMessage comes into the search as a default in the search widget and they are still showing up. I'll check it again and see if I can get it to work. In the meantime I found the JIRA ticket for this and voted for it.
