    auto capitalize sentences in vb5?

is this possible? even my cheap phone is trying to be grammatically correct, it would be nice if its possible to have this feature on a pro publishing suite eh?

not sure if that would be an editor hack or what, just curious if its possible, or if maybe its in the ckeditor upgrade with next vb release?

still have a huge list im holding for dire needed basic functions, but these couple ones i just wanted to ask for now..

    thanks,iggy

This is not currently possible in the software. You can probably find a number of extensions for your browser that can help you with grammar and spelling. I use one provided by Grammarly in Chrome and it is compatible with CKEditor in vBulletin and elsewhere.

hmm interesting....seems like a pretty cool addon, thanks wayne...it seems to be a bit hit or miss tho, at least with the free version? on catching those first letter capitals especially, which it doesnt auto correct when it does catch them, and some other errors i tested seemed almost random if it caught them...

do you have a pro subscription? if so how much difference do you notice in its accuracy? im kinda considering it, kinda expensive subscription bout 140$/yr or $30/month but my grammar kinda sucks so its a bit hard to decide lol...esp if it doesnt work i be upset, but i dont quite wanna drop 30$ just to try it

oh hey..well i see there is a premium trial if i can refer a friend like my friend bob (hes real) so i guess ill just check it out...seems like an obvious oversight but i noticed in my cases with the free version its the letter "i" only it will flag regardless of place in sentence, and u must alter it manually so kinda needs premium...i noticed it said theres and auto correct of some sort on premium too but i still think just for one simple way to fix the sentence cap would be a brilliant hack.<<<(firefox lol)

Programming the language rules of dozens (or more) of languages into the software is beyond the scope of the software's design. I have been using the Grammarly extension for free for about a year. Never referred anyone. It does ask me to upgrade to Premium but I just ignore that. That is just an example though. There are other extensions as well.

i think my biggest goal really is just to capitalize the first letter of a sentence automatically...even if the sentence is a grammatic nightmare it still just seems unprofessional without a capital letter to start...but it wont do that on the free version...im still trying to decide on trying the premium to test auto correcting and first letter catches, doesnt help my members or site really tho...perhaps if there was a server version idk...i was kinda hoping it could be done with a pseudo class or something, just seems odd its so difficult....i mean a 20$ phone can do it...is what it is i guess...

You're comparing forum software with an operating system with over 1 billion installs. Yeah, the $20 phone can do it because Google put Billions of dollars into the development and distribution of the Android operating system. The phone manufacturer didn't develop that software.
