Two types of Moderators?

What is the difference between making somebody a Moderator (as their primary type) vs. leaving them as Registered and checking the Moderator box?

A type, they will have Mod permissions and they can delete/edit/move threads/posts and managing members.

A type, they only have Mod badge while other permissions you can add or set for them.
