What is the best way to set a channel/forum offline?

Hello everyone,

using vBulletin 5 (more specifically 5.2.0), what is the best/proper way to hide a whole forum, its sub forums and all posts from the users?
Important: I do not want to delete the content. I simply need to set all the content "offline".

Go to AdminCP > Channel Management > Channel Permissions, scroll down to the target forum then click Deny All. That prevents access to that forum for all users and take that forum out of the forum list.
