Private Messages System not working for Registered users even with correct Permissions (VB 5.1.8)

Registered users cannot send or read private messages, they see the message:

Sorry, you are not authorized to view this page


AdminCP > Settings > Options > Private Messaging Options

Entire private messaging system is ON


AdminCP > Usergroups > Usergroup Manager

Can create private message is ON

Private Message Permissions
Maximum Stored Messages: 50



AdminCP > Channel Management > Channel Manager -> View Chane Permissions

Can create private message: ON



Only ADMINs can send or read private messages.


Any help on this?

I'm experiencing the same issue. All permissions are set as above describes, but only configured superadmin's can write messages!

I'm having a similar issue.

Check the permissions of the "special" channel (or categorie)!
Users needs permissions for that, as PMs are part of it.
