Is there a way to get rid of the lightbox and have the thumbnails link directly to the original image?

If you insert links as attachments, clicking on the thumbnails already shows the image fullsize.
If you are talking about the "Share Photos" button, this will always use the lightbox. However the lightbox will get a major overhaul with vB 5.1.6. -
no i mean for the photos which were added in the quick reply section (bottom of the post) using the camera icon... how can i make those thumbnails link to the pure/original image?Comment

That's the "share photos" button mentioned above. There is no way to do this currently.MARK.B

A lot of difficulty repositioning image attachments within post
If i add two attachments and accidently dont position the image correctly and I try and drag it the image either dissapears...Thu 23 Jan '20, 3:22pm
