Mod Rewrite Friendly URLs

Any docs or code for .htaccess to ensure Mod Rewrite Friendly URLs are functioning correctly? vb5 beta 11. Just using linux shared hosting with cpanel right now. Thank you.

Note: In order to use the Mod Rewrite Friendly URLs the appropriate rewrite rules must be defined for your server.

The actual options don't have any effect. They are only maintained to provide proper upgrading.

Thanks Wayne, that is what i meant... should have said the options in my original post... they dont have any effect.
