  • Message Editor Interface, how to change?

I have two questions about the "Message Editor Interface":
(The "Message Editor Interface" can be set to one of the following: "Do Not Show Editor Toolbar", "Show Standard Editor Toolbar", "Show Enhanced (WYSIWYG) Editor Toolbar".)

    1) Can users change the "Message Editor Interface" themselves? (I guess not, because I don't see it under "User Settings" of a user when a user is logged in.)
    2) I don't see any effect when I change the "Message Editor Interface" of a user via AdminCP, and then log-in for that user. It is always as shown below, even when set to "Show Enhanced (WYSIWYG) Editor Toolbar". So what is the use of "Message Editor Interface"? (Maybe it is something else?)

Those settings don't actually have any effect in vBulletin 5.

Why do they exist in vBulletin 5? Bug?

Along with several options, they were not removed when vB5 was forked from vB4. There's a bug report somewhere to have them taken out, but there's also one to have an option back for editor type, so it rather depends which route it's decided to go down.

widgetinstance 262 (Related Topics) skipped due to lack of content & hide_module_if_empty option.
